  7. Command AntiVirus (CSAV) for NetWare Solution Checklist
  8. As you well know, state-of-the-art networks are extremely complex systems.
  9. Proper diagnostic procedures require an in-depth study of all of the
  10. available data.  Whenever someone reports an apparent CSAV for NetWare
  11. problem or an abend, we need the following information in order to
  12. provide you with the fastest possible solution.

  14. When you installed CSAV for NetWare a program called TTCONFIG.NLM was
  15. also installed. TTCONFIG will collect the information we need to determine
  16. the cause of the problem and to provide a solution. From the server console
  17. type:  LOAD TTCONFIG   The following information will be collected and sent
  18. to a file which can then be zipped and e-mailed.
  19. o F-PROT.INI
  20. o F-PROT.CFG
  21. o F-PROT.LOG   (The last 30 minutes or 10 entries)
  22. o SYS$LOG.ERR   (The last 30 minutes or 10 entries)
  23. o STARTUP.NCF
  24. o AUTOEXEC.NCF
  25. o A complete module list, including the version number of each module.

  27. Additionally, please record a list of any CSAV commands you recall entering
  28. recently or right before the problem occurred.
  29.  
  30. In the unlikely event of a server abend, please record all information
  31. beginning on page 2.
  32.  
  33. NetWare v3/v4 ABEND Debugger Information
  34. Upon incurring a server ABEND (ABnormal END), it is usually  possible to
  35. enter the internal debugger by either entering 386debug at the System
  36. console or by pressing and holding the Left Alt, both shift, and the Escape
  37. keys. Should the server fail to enter the internal debugger, try pressing the
  38. Caps Lock key. If the Caps Lock light fails to toggle (on/off) , it generally
  39. indicates a hard conflict which has the server completely inoperable. In this
  40. case the only option is to power down the server.
